Hurlingham & around

The Hurlingham Club

Situated in 42 acres of landscaped grounds, The Hurlingham Club is regarded as one of the world’s finest private members’ clubs, and the birthplace of polo. Dating back as far as 1869, it has been a centre for sporting excellence for more than a century.

Harbour Club

A premier health and fitness destination located in Chelsea, London. With a range of world-class facilities including a gym, swimming pool, tennis courts, and fitness classes, the club offers a luxurious experience to its members. The facility also features a spa, a bar, and a restaurant, making it the perfect place to unwind after a workout or to socialize with friends.

Stamford Bridge

The world-famous Chelsea FC, and 2021 European Champions, play their home games at Stamford Bridge. Just under two miles away, you’ll also find Craven Cottage, the home of local rivals and London's oldest professional football club, Fulham FC.

Fulham FC

A tour of Craven Cottage is one for the history books. Established in 1879, Fulham FC is London’s oldest professional football club. You can perch on one of the original Grade II listed seats in the Johnny Haynes Stand before heading down to the pitch on one of its guided tours.

GREEN SPACES

Local Green Spaces

Wandsworth Park

A Grade II listed Edwardian park on the south bank of the River Thames, Wandsworth Park has changed very little since it opened in 1903. It still offers lots of open spaces and opportunities to watch sport, birds and the river flow by.

Local Green Spaces

Bishops Park

A long sliver of a park that runs from Putney Bridge to Craven Cottage, Bishops Park offers some of the best riverside walks and views of the River Thames. As a result, areas of the park are listed, and it is one of the borough’s most popular and well-used green spaces.

Local Green Spaces

Eel Brook Common

Back in 1883, Eel Brook Common used to host the home games of the then amateur local football team, Fulham FC. Nowadays, you’re more likely to see five-a-side on its astroturf pitch, as well as regular tennis matches on its popular courts.

Local Green Spaces

Hurlingham Park

Hurlingham Park in Fulham is one of the borough’s flagship parks and one of 20 that has achieved Green Flag status. It’s also where some of polo’s greatest matches have been played. Continuing its rich sporting history today is a full complement of football and rugby pitches, as well as tennis and netball courts.

Local Green Spaces

South Park

Shielded by its original Edwardian walls and trees that were planted more than 100 years ago, South Park in Fulham feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Across its 20 acres, you’ll find a whole host of sports facilities including netball courts, football and cricket pitches.

Local Green Spaces

Parsons Green

This large triangle of green that gives its name to the wider area was the former village green where the rector of Fulham used to live. It’s now a great place to lounge and picnic in the summer months.
